Is iOS 11 Coming to iPhone 5 Series?
One bad news for iPhone 5 and 5C users is that their device will not get the iOS 11 update because these phones run on 32-bit apps and therefore cannot support 64-bit apps. This is similar to what happened to iPhone 4, which missed out on the update of iOS 10. It looks like the same tradition will continue. Since, iOS 11 will only feature 64-bit apps, it is pretty apparent that both iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C will have to be dropped from getting the update.
But there’s a good news too, although the iPhone 5 and 5C will skip iOS 11, the operating system will run on iPhone 5S. So if you are an iPhone 5S user, wait for the update when the OS rolls out.
In case you are not sure about what is the model number of your iPhone, all you need to do is to just go to the “Setting” of your handset and click on the “About Phone” option. Here, you will get to see all the details about your device and will get to know whether your iPhone will be compatible with iOS 11 or not.
So folks, hopefully you have got a fair bit of idea which devices will be iOS 11 compatible and which devices won’t.
