iOS 11 Wishlist Features: Just like the smartphones and the laptops, Apple releases a brand new operating system for their coveted lineup of the handsets every year. Last year, during the WWDC event, which was held in June, the US-based tech conglomerate launched iOS 10, the tenth major iteration of the company's mobile operating system. The iOS 10 has undergone some major changes particularly in the 3D Touch and the lock screen department. Not only that, Apple has incorporated some notable features in the apps section too, the Messages got new emojis, Maps got redesigned interface and the algorithmic search has been enabled for the Photos. So, as the iOS 10 has got a redefined and revamped look, the fans, as well as the tech pundits, are eagerly anticipating for what will the next installment, iOS 11 offer to us? According to the recent reports, iOS 11 is all set to make its debut in the coming June during the WWDC conference. So in this article, we have shed light on what the fans are expecting from the iOS 11 and what are their demands. So check out the iOS 11 wishlist and know what features in the forthcoming iOS 11 will make us happy.
iOS 11 Wishlist Features (More Innovation Less Administration)
Introduction of the Typing Feature
The first thing strikes in our mind when we talk about a new version of iOS is the upgradation of the Siri. Almost in every iteration, Apple has made some changes in their intelligent personal assistant. But the fans are craving for more. So the feature which tops the demand list is the introduction of the typing feature in Siri. Presently, if we have to give a command to Siri, we can only do it with our voice, not by typing it. But in the upcoming iOS 11, we want the typing feature to be included. It is not possible for us, or rather convenient for us every time to ask something to Siri with our voice. So if the typing feature is included, it will make things much easier, just like Cortana facilitates their user with the same.
Customized Control Centre
The user-interface of the iOS 10 is simple, intuitive and easy-to-understand. But the Control Centre could be painful sometimes. in the current iOS 10, the controls are divided into multiple tabs, which is good and useful to some people, but the biggest disadvantage of it is, you can not any longer see the playback controls while going back to the first tab again, by swiping up from the bottom. So we would love if Apple again bring back the ability to customize what we can see in the Control Center and can rearrange the tabs by our own preferences.
Unlock the phone by swapping only
In iOS 10, if you want to unlock the handset, you have to press the home button and then only you can unlock your phone. But the rumor is the upcoming iPhone will come without any Touch ID. So without a home button how would we suppose unlock the phone. So we will be more than glad if Apple bring back the 'swipe to unlock' feature in the iOS 11.
Change in the Camera Settings
One of the major disadvantages of iOS 10, or rather of iOS 9 is that you can not change video and slo-mo resolution in the default camera application. So we hope that in iOS 11, we can shift between 4K30 and 1080p60 and also between 720p240 and 1080p120 in the slo-mo mode. It will make the camera application interesting again.
The Touch ID of the iPhone allows the users to unlock the handset. But in can be used for so many things. We generally use various passwords for different applications, but what if we could use the Touch ID to log into any application which asks for authentication. So we hope iOS 11 would come with this incredible feature and make our life easier.
We were expecting the Dark Mode to make its debut in iOS 10, but Apple disappoints us big time. The US-based tech giant actually added the Dark Mode to the tvOS, but there is no option to switch to a dark theme when the iPhones are concerned. The biggest advantage of having Dark Mode in the smartphones is you can use it in the night or in the subdued lighting. Even the Apple Watch comes with a Dark Mode, so we can keep our fingers crossed for the black interface to be included in the iOS 11.
Group FaceTime Video Calling
The Apple users are demanding for group FaceTime calling for a long time. Skype and other similar applications already facilitate their users with the same technology. Even the recent reports also suggest that the iOS 11 will come with the group FaceTime calling option where five users can talk with each other simultaneously. So if this happens, we would more than happy.
So friends, this is our iOS 11 wishlist and we hope Apple will make us happy by and most importantly make the operating system more intriguing by including all those features we have discussed here.
